Match Reports from Wednesdays Two games.

Tyler Roscoe and Kane Cartwright from the Academy provide match reports from the games they played in.

Widnes 4-6 Radcliffe Academy Black

Radcliffe FC Academy Black travelled to Widnes this afternoon in the Sports Traider Division and enjoyed a 10 goal thriller. Radcliffe started slow as Widnes took an early 3 goal lead inside half an hour. But the boys picked themselves back up and managed to bring it back to 3-3 at half time from a good last 15 minutes of the half with goals from Tyler Roscoe, Lewis Shore and Simeone Adeosun. In the second half Radcliffe controlled the game going 6-3 up, Callum Tebay, Lewis Shore and Tyler Roscoe scored his second of the game. Radcliffe looked comfortable compared to the first 20 minutes of the first half, Widnes managed to grab one back towards the end but the result stayed as 6-4 until the final whistle as Radcliffe Black came back from 3 goals down for a win.

The pair had already faced each other which ended in a 3-2 win to Radcliffe at home.
This time out Radcliffe started of slow as they were 0-0 in the first half and they game was very even. But in the second half they came out strong with a couple of substitutes that made a good impact. Unfortunately, a cheap goal was conceded by Radcliffe which was an own goal that was undeserved in about 15 minutes played of the second half. But shortly after Radcliffe were awarded a penalty with 30 minutes to go which was scored by Captain Sheldon Barrington, shortly after he went onto score again after beating the keeper on a near post shot.

Radcliffe went on to score again in the last 15 minutes which was a cross from Cameron Lewarne to Matthew Ridings who scored a nice easy tap in which took Radcliffe to 3-1. The final goal was scored with 7 minutes to go, which ended the game off was scored again by Sheldon Barrington which was his hat-trick. He was played a sweet through ball from the Left back Matty Mcsorland. This means that Radcliffe Blue have won 8 games in 8 which sends them to the top of the table with one game left just before Christmas. The team played well in the second half and deserved the win. When they came out after the solid chat from the Radcliffe coaches, they shown their passion and pride which lead them to the win.
