Our fifth signing of the Summer comes in a form of a returning player in Ben Rydel. The right back joins the club on a permanent basis, having endured two loan spells at the Neuven Stadium last season from League Two outfit, Salford City.

With twenty Radcliffe appearances to his name in the last campaign, he will now look to continue his good form going into the 2022/23 season as a permanent member of the side.

Ben made several notable appearances for Radcliffe, but none more than his debut against Buxton at the Neuven Stadium. Radcliffe ultimately lost the game 3-2, but the 18-year-old announced himself to the Boro faithful in style. A solid defensive display was made even more impressive in the 80th minute, he stepped up and confidently dispatched a 25-yard free kick to send the fans into uproar with 10 minutes to go of normal time.
