Radcliffe FC are delighted to announce the signing of 22-year-old attacking midfielder, Callum Gribbin, the former Manchester United youngster has previously played in the youth set up and the under 18’s and 23’s team for the red devils, as well as Sheffield United and Barrow. Callum has also represented England in both the under 16’s and the under 17’s teams.

Manchester United legend, Nicky Butt, then manager of the Under 23’s side, previously described Callum as someone who can ‘make things happen’, and that he can cut through defences and score goals, as well as turning provider by setting them up. He has trained with the Manchester United first team on numerous occasions under two different managers, both Louis Van Gaal and Jose Mourinho rated him highly enough to train with the likes of Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Some audacious fans even described Callum as the ‘English Messi’, and predicted that he would be on the never-ending conveyor belt of young Manchester United talent who made it into the first team. In his eight years at the club, Callum showed he has bags of ability to make it to the very top of the football pyramid, and will be hoping to replicate his success at the Neuven Stadium.
