Paul Hilton has written a statement following last night’s news of the club parting ways with manager, Lee Fowler.

It's with sadness that I write this update regarding Lee Fowler's exit from the Club by mutual consent.

I must place on record my genuine and sincere thanks to Fowls for everything he has done for us at Radcliffe FC over what have been an incredibly difficult last 18 months. Nobody could have foreseen the sheer level of disruption we have faced through this period but Fowls has steered the ship with true professionalism.

I can tell you all with no word of a lie that Lee Fowler is the hardest working manager I've known in the game, his dedication and sheer commitment level is staggering and on both a personal and professional level he has been a pleasure to work with.

Over the last 18 months Fowls has been heavily involved in developing aspects of the Club that will see dividends paid well into the future. Together we have worked on rebuilding and remodelling our Youth Development through our partnerships with The Football Learning Group, with our Under 21 side and Juniors, he was integral in getting Kole Hall noticed and capped by Bermuda which has also helped us forge a pathway for talent and generally helped this Club drive a level of internal professionalism which will stand us in great stead. Importantly he embraced, understood and promoted all that we are trying to achieve at Radcliffe FC.

Personally and from everyone at Radcliffe FC we wish Lee all the best.

Football is Football, I don't think I need to say more on that, anyone reading this will understand - and now we move forward.

Bobby Grant and Rhys Day will take the team on into Saturday and we will update you as soon as possible on future developments.
