Read all the information you need to know ahead of tomorrow’s final game of the season.

Following a 1-1 draw at the Neuven Stadium last weekend, The Champions head to Lincolnshire as we look to wrap up the season with a victory on the road.

The Opposition

Gainsborough started the season poorly having only picked up two league wins in the opening two months of the campaign, but have had a steady resurgence since appointing Russ Wilcox to the helm at the end of September.

Since then, Trinity have climbed from 18th on the verge of the relegation places to 9th in the table, now with only two losses in their last 15 games. They’ve proved hard to beat of late, and while there’s little permutations behind this fixture, Radcliffe will need to be aware of the threat Gainsborough pose.

Ones To Watch

Declan Howe is not only Gainsborough’s top scorer, but also leads the league’s scoring charts with 28 goals to his name. He’ll need to be kept quiet if Radcliffe are to end the season with a victory, however with 9 in his last 5 games, it’ll take some doing.

Jude Oyibo will be one to look out for in a Radcliffe shirt on Saturday. With 13 goals and 12 assists from a left wing back role this season, he’ll be wanting to finish the campaign strongly with a positive performance on the final day.

Last Time Out

On a cold afternoon at the Neuven Stadium, Radcliffe were able to claim the full three points in a 1-0 win against Gainsborough Trinity, thanks to a close-range finish from Anthony Dudley midway into the first half.

Gainsborough’s Dayle Southwell had the first real chance of the game, as he attempted to capitalise on a long ball forward but was forced wide by Rick Smith and saw his tame effort saved at the near post.

Radcliffe took the lead after 29 minutes of play, with Anthony Dudley on target from six yards out to score his first league goal since his treble against FC United of Manchester earlier in the campaign.

After an attacking move which spanned across the field, Jude Oyibo worked his way into a promising position and cut the ball back into the middle, setting up the opener as the 27-year-old was on hand to tap home.

It could have been two goals to the good for Radcliffe before the break. A chance fell to the feet of Jordan Hulme in the box, but Luke Jackson did well to make a diving save to prevent a second for the Boro.

The visitors started the second half with intent, as Javelle Clarke cut back onto his left foot and fired over the bar from the edge of the 18-yard area. Again just five minutes later, Southwell tested Mateusz Hewelt with a fast-paced curled effort, that rose just above the crossbar at the last moment, but the ‘keeper appeared to have it covered.

An equaliser almost came the way of Southwell when he intercepted Hewelt’s ball forward, but his chipped shot from range only found the outside of the side netting.

With three minutes added on at the end of the 90, Gainsborough failed to threaten the Radcliffe goal, as the three points remained in Greater Manchester after a tough contest at the Neuven Stadium.
