Radcliffe continued their impressive unbeaten start to the league season on Saturday, picking up three points in a 4-3 victory against a strong Worksop Town side who sat sixth in the table going into the fixture. Having battled back to win the game late, the short time period between contests will see the depth of the squad tested with Matt Sargent the only doubt, as the midfielder has not seen action since leaving the pitch against FC United in August.

With thirteen separate goal scorers in all competitions so far this season, the goals could come from anywhere. Every player to start for Radcliffe apart from Luke Joyce has been credited with a goal or an assist, currently Jordan Hulme leads the charts with 6 goals and 5 assists, a combined 11 involvements.

The Opposition

Marine have started the season impressively in their own respect and are currently sat fourth in the table on 16 points from eight matches. In the four games at the Marine Travel Arena, they have collected nine of the twelve points available. At home the teams they have beaten are; FC United, Matlock Town and Basford, with the one loss coming against Whitby Town, where they fell to a 3-1 defeat. Either Finlay Sinclair-Smith or Sol Soloman have scored in each home game in all competitions, but both attackers have not scored in the same contest in front of their own fans.

Last campaign, our paths crossed four times. Twice in the league as scheduled and in both the FA Trophy and the FA Cup. Between all four matches no side managed to score more than two goals, Marine having taken victory in the two cup contests, 2-1 and 1-1 (4-3P), whilst the Northern Premier League saw Radcliffe come away with four points with a win and a draw.

Ones To Watch

The home side have several players worth watching, however it must be said that Sol Soloman has been in fine form in the month of September. The fan favourite found the back of the net 16 times in his first season at the Marine Travel Arena. At only 22, the attacker has a bright future ahead but is still very much a danger, his latest goals sent National League North side Spennymoor Town crashing out of the FA Trophy.

Should Jude Oyibo continue his run in the side, he can be considered as the danger man on the Radcliffe flank. The 25-year-old has had full backs beaten for pace and skill on a regular basis so far this season, not only does Oyibo have the ability to create, but he has also shown his keen eye for goal of late, sitting as the sides third top scorer with five goals in five starts whilst donning the Radcliffe crest on his chest.
