All the ins and outs at Radcliffe FC

It has been a busy couple of weeks at the Neuven Stadium for everyone involved.

We have seen some players join and leave the club, here is a guide to what has happened over the past two weeks.

Starting with the departures. It has been well documented that club Legend Ben Wharton has left the club after 263 appearances and 87 goals. He has gone on to join Runcorn Linnets.

Three other members of last seasons’ play-off winning squad have also left the club. Scott Metcalfe, Kingsley Williams and Prince Haywood have departed the Neuven.

Metcalfe has joined up with Stalybridge Celtic, Williams has joined Widnes and Haywood has headed to Nantwich.

Rhys Moseley has also left the club, he has joined up with Barnstaple Town.

In addition to these players, Goalkeeper coach Des Christie has also left the club.

We would like to wish them all the best for the future and we thank them for all they have done for the club over the past few years.

A number of players have been brought in by Interim Managers Garry Vaughan and Darren Lyons over the past couple of weeks.

Starting with Callum Dolan. An exciting winger, formerly of Oldham Athletic. He brings a lot of pace and skills to the Boro forward line and has already been lighting up the pitch in the games he has already played.

Another player who has recently joined the Boro is Raheem Hanley. A brilliant full back with pace to burn. He has already been a welcome addition to the Boro defence and he has already netted his first goal from the club.

Daz McKnight has also recently joined the club. A clever centre midfield that doesn’t shy away from a shot from distance or a tough challenge in midfield. He has already shown glimpses of what he is capable of in a Boro shirt, highlighted with his first goal against Ashton United.

We have also welcomed James Caton to our ranks. Another exciting forward who will be looking to light up the pitch in the near future.

Another attacker which has joined the Boro recently is Connor Hughes from Ashton United. He joins on an initial one month loan. He looks to be another exciting addition to the Boro front line after making his debut against Morpeth Town.

Former Barrow man Astley Mulholland has also joined the Boro. Another forward man who will be looking to link up with the new faces in the Boro attack. He joins the club from Mossley.

Rhian Hellawell has also joined the club. Another attacker signed from Widnes. His pace and eye from goal will excite the Boro faithful for the months to come.

Douglas Nyaupembe joins the club from Atherton Collieries. The young defender will add to the Boro defence. Nyaupembe made his Bury debut last season against AFC Wimbledon.

We wish all the new signings the best of luck as we look to push back up that table!
