A Wonder goal from Tunde Owolabi caps off a superb night at the Neuven.

The Boro start the season with back to back wins after a home win over Clitheroe and continued their great start to the season as they won 4-1 at the Neuven stadium.

Radcliffe got off to a great start after only 2 minutes as Elliott Rokka headed a Shelton Payne cross back across and Ben Wharton poked home his 60th goal for Radcliffe.

Jon Mackens side continued their bright start to the game as just a minute later George West picked up the ball and ran at the Clitheroe defence but could only direct his shot straight at the Clitheroe keeper.

The home side went close again on 8 minutes after George West played through Ben Wharton who could only drag his shot wide of the post.

Radcliffe went forward again on 10 minutes, Trennery came out to meet the ball at the edge of the Clitheroe box but Elliott Rokka managed to knock the ball around him and the keeper receives a yellow card for the challenge.

The Boro continued their strong start as on 29 minutes Shelton Payne received the ball at the edge of the Clitheroe box and tried to bend his shot into the far top corner but his effort goes inches over the bar.

Clitheroe’s first clear chance came in the 41st minute as Anoruo beat a couple of players before squaring it to Matthews who could only manage to blaze his effort over the bar.

Radcliffe started the second half in the same way as the first as Scott Metcalfe delivered a free kick into the box but Matty Carr’s header is easily saved at the front post.

After a spell of pressure from Clitheroe, Radcliffe managed to double their lead in the 65th minute after Shelton Payne ran onto a Scott Metcalfe long ball and lobbed the keeper.

Clitheroe managed to find a response just two minutes later as Anoruo managed to beat Matty Williams on the line after the initial shot was blocked.

There was a strong claim for Clitheroe to be down to ten men in the 81st minute after Ben Wharton put in a good sliding challenge on Thompson who appeared to have stamped on Wharton but received a yellow card.

The Boro managed to restore their two goal lead in the 89th minute as Tunde Olowabi got on to a Ben Wharton through ball and rounds the keeper before placing it in the back of the net.

Radcliffe weren’t finished there though as in the 92nd minute Tunde Owolabi scored a fantastic solo goal as he got past the Clitheroe defender with some tricky feet before bending it into the far top corner from a tight angle.

A late impact from substitute Tunde Owolabi secured Jon Mackens men the win as they swept aside Clitheroe in an impressive win and ensuring they took maximum points from the opening two games.
